Two years. (Almost)

The first attempt was a fail.

This is take two.

....

I've given up Facebook for lent. 3 weeks into it and I'm feeling the need to write about the random things that light up and sometimes burn down my days.

Facebook made it ridiculously easy to share things. Just press a button, and voila. Everyone on your list can see your current amusement.

Which made me wonder.. if your friends watch all the humorous videos you post, read your daily posts on life, keep track with each and everyone one of your updates.. what is there to share when you see each other?

Pardon my cynicism.

An Introduction

The best (and probably the easiest) way to get this ball rolling is with an introduction.

I'm sporadic. Random. Clumsy. Fascinated with life. A huge fan of music.

Susan Boyle is my idol. She spot-lights our society's cynicism while giving it a just smack down. We are so caught up in our little world of instant-everything; email, text, cellular phones that the habit has begun to bleed through to our judgment. We take less and less time everyday to really look at the people around us and see the potential they carry.

I rant. and rave. My current conundrum is the difficult decision that the state legislature has to make with regards to balancing our budget. Which is the lesser evil: raising taxes to cover costs of our programs, or cutting programs to save cost? I need to draft a letter to my representative as soon as possible or else I have no right to complain when a choice is made.

The thing with life is that there is always a magical side to things however difficult and complex one's life is. The problem is that most of us fail to see it. No matter how dismal, there's always always ALWAYS something to smile about.

I went off on a tangent. I think I was introducing myself..

I'm in love. If there were words to convey the depth of that emotion it wouldn't come from any combination of the 26 letters in our alphabet. Makes me want to be a poet, but for the sake of not disgracing poetry I'll refrain from any attempts at the art. Good thing my better half is a poet =P

I work to live, not live to work. Perhaps I'm in the wrong profession for such philosophies since I'm required to sacrifice one of my precious weekend days for labor. White collar labor, but I'd rather have an full 2 day weekend than have more money in my paycheck, thank you very much.

I really have no form for this blog. I write what I please, and whatever comes to mind. I'm doing this to learn more about myself and to also share those lessons with you.

Live and learn. That's all for now.
